Download this page

When the Download this page link is highlighted it means that the page currently being viewed is available for download as a PDF. The downloaded PDF can then be uploaded to a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Pocket PC, Palm Pilot or any other hand held device.

Library pages

The BJU International web site provides registrants and members with the facility to build up their own library of bookmarked content. When viewing a page which you think you may want to return to at a later date, click the Add page to library link. An alert will be displayed to let you know that the page has been added, or if the page already existed within you library. To view your bookmark library, just click on the View your library link.

Submission of content

IMPORTANT NOTE: Content submissions made using this site are only considered for display on the bjui.org web site. If you wish to submit content for consideration for the published paper journal (including the online journal), please submit your content using ScholarOne Manuscript.

Submission of content is strongly encouraged on the BJUI site. We welcome any relevant content ranging from general Review, Article or Guideline content to Commonwealth of Urology submissions and even submissions relating to Events in the Urology world at large. Content submission is restricted to users who are registered on the site, which means that if you do want to submit content you will need to subscribe.

General site content can be submitted by clicking on the Submit Content link in your user menu (which appears when you are logged in). Commonwealth of Urology content can be submitted by clicking on the link on the Commonwealth of Urology main page. Event submissions can be made by clicking the link on the Events Calendar page.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (or Rich Site Summary, depending on your preference). RSS is an XML-based format that scans a site for updates to the content, and then delivers those to subscribers in the form of a list of headlines, each containing a description and link to the related web page. RSS 'feeds' provide useful tools that allow the delivery of the website content you want straight to your desktop, as soon as it is available.

How do I use RSS?

To enable you to make use of RSS you will need a program called a News Reader. This is where you download a software application to your computer and “subscribe” to feeds by entering the URL of the RSS feed into the program. To find out more about the RSS function on this site, please click here.

Access to full text articles hosted on this site that have been published in the last 12 months is currently restricted to members of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). All other content on the site is freely available.
