Knotting of a ureteric stent requiring percutaneous removal - A 47-year old man underwent ureteroscopy and 7 Fr multilength double coil stent placement. Three months later it could not be extracted because of knot formation with encrustation at the upper end.

Endometriosis leading to laparoscopic nephrectomy - We review the literature and present a case of 32-year-old female who had a history of pelvic endometriosis treated with laparotomy and medical management.

Shrapnel cystolithiasis - A 91-year-old man presented with haematuria and urinary tract infection. Routine investigations included a KUB, which revealed the presence of a bladder stone with the unusual appearance of a quadrilateral hyperdense core.
